Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region

Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region supports women and children who are experiencing domestic violence. They operate two emergency shelters: Anselma House in Kitchener and Haven House in Cambridge. A free, confidential outreach program is available to women in all cities and townships of Waterloo Region.

Talk4Healing

Offers 24/7 help, support and resources for Indigenous women, by Indigenous women, all across Ontario. Started in 2012 by Beendigen in partnership with the Ontario Native Women’s Association, Talk4Healing has provided over 20,000 Indigenous women and their families with real-world solutions, without judgment, in a safe and accepting environment. Services are fully grounded in Indigenous culture, wisdom and tradition and are available in several languages.

Sexual Assault Support Centre of Waterloo Region

Offers free, wrap-around services and support to people and their families who have experienced sexual violence. We provide individual and group counselling, a 24 Hour Support Line, and advocacy and accompaniments for those navigating court, police, and medical processes. We have a dedicated Anti-Human Trafficking Program. In addition to support services, we’re committed to preventing sexual violence through education and social justice work.

Victim Services of Waterloo Region

Victim Services of Waterloo Region is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assist victims of crime and tragic circumstance in our Region including family members and witnesses. Our staff and volunteers are also available to assist members of the community, local businesses, agencies and services in accessing information and assistance on a variety of topics. Available around the clock to provide immediate crisis intervention, we are also available to provide practical and emotional assistance by telephone.
